Sod Services – Removal of Existing Sod, Weeds and Other material

If you are replacing an existing lawn or have an overgrown weed problem, you first must remove the old sod or growth. This can be done either by killing the existing vegetation with an herbicide, waiting for the area to die, then rototilling the area. Or you can remove the existing lawn with a sod cutter.

Korby Sod does not provide services for spraying herbicide. This procedure is simple but you must wait at least 2 weeks before a crew can perform a soil preparation.

Korby Sod professional installation crew will come and tear out your existing lawn & weeds and we will haul away the “spoils.” We don’t recommend reusing the removed material. If your lawn or weeds are overgrown, there may be a mowing fee. Please clear the area before we arrive.
